If bubble tea stew and century-old egg pudding didn’t gross you out enough, this content creator just took it up a notch.
Malaysia-based Japanese TikToker Sora raised eyebrows after trying to cook “Malaysian ramen” with flour gelatin intended for chendol.
“Why is it green?” Sora questioned after placing the gelatin in a container.
He then fried some garlic and bean sprouts before adding hot water, broth, soy sauce and the “noodles”.
Pouring the contents into a bowl, he commented that it looked delicious before taking his first bite.
What started as an excited look on his face slowly turned into confusion: “Did I boil it too much? It’s too soft.”
“How do I eat this? Malaysia, what is this?”
The TikTok video, which was uploaded on June 18, has since garnered 2.7 million views and nearly 18,000 comments.

Netizens in the comments section were educating her, some amused while others were exasperated.

Another joked: “For this (issue), Indonesia and Malaysia can join together.”
A netizen, whom Sora later thanked, listed the recipe for chendol and explained that it is supposed to be a dessert.
