Lara Lewis took to TikTok to explain how the position in which new drivers stop on the road could be considered a mistake.
She told her followers: “So in a test you can get a fault for stopping in position. When we stop we have to make sure we do it without disturbing or blocking other road users.”
The instructor went on to explain that there are several reasons why stopping in position can cause a failure.
He added: “Examples of situations in which a stopping offense may be incurred on a driving test would be stopping too far from the curb, hitting or mounting the curb, stopping too close to the vehicle in front, or stopping or blocking an intersection. “.
Drivers must be aware of their surroundings, other road users and potential dangers when stopping.
The video quickly went viral, with followers thanking Lara for her advice and sharing their own tips.

Another stress for drivers, both licensed and in training, can be the NCT. Recent figures revealed that half of all cars tested in 2023 failed to meet minimum roadworthiness standards.
