Former Panyam MLA admits party mistakes led to defeat

kurnool: Panyam legislator and senior YSR Congress leader Katasani Rambhupal Reddy commented that they were not defeated by anyone but their own mistakes led to their defeat in the recent elections.

His comments during a recent press meeting have gone viral on social media. He revealed that top YSRCP leaders did not listen to his suggestions, despite being warned about public resistance to the Land Title Act and other issues.

Katasani said there were widespread fears among ordinary people that the government would acquire land from farmers and other landowners through the Land Title Act, and this had a major impact on the polls.

He also said that some women expressed their fears during his election campaign despite efforts to convince them. She said no one beat them; It was her own mistakes that led to her defeat in the elections.

Sand and liquor politics also had a negative impact and ultimately made people vote for the Telugu Desam Party. He said if they had guaranteed free bus rides for women and a waiver of at least Rs 1 lakh in farm loans, the situation would have been different.

Although these suggestions were made to the party high command, there was no adequate response and the situation was completely reversed in the elections, he lamented.

He said that people who enjoyed welfare schemes and other programs during his tenure eventually voted for the other party, which was only due to his internal mistakes that failed to gain the support of the people.
