The actress took to her Instagram Story to address Christians who were celebrating the singer’s wedding but condemned his congregation for committing fornication before their wedding.
It is not new that in 2019 the afrobeat singer and his wife, Chioma They welcomed their son, Ifeanyi, but lost him in 2022. The couple later welcomed a set of twins, months after the loss of their son, all before officially tying the knot.
Merit Gold exclaimed that many Christians on social media are congratulating and celebrating the couple even though they had children before their extravagant wedding.
She wrote,
“Christians will celebrate David’s wedding even after giving birth to 3 sons, but they will crucify those in their congregation who commit fornication and want to get married. In this life, he makes money before making a mistake”
The actress’s opinion has caught the attention of Internet users and many have shared their experience about how the church crucified their congregation for dressing or behaving in a certain way on their wedding day.
Some disapprove of his opinion, claiming that the couple was legally married in secret for years before announcing their extravagant wedding which took place in Lagos.
