Samantha Ruth Prabhu admits past mistakes of endorsing unhealthy brands

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently spoke about the importance of healthy eating on her podcast, Take20. Following the episode’s release online, one internet user highlighted her current focus on healthy habits, comparing it to her previous endorsement of unhealthy food and drink brands. This comment seemed to have a significant impact on Samantha.

In response, Samantha spoke candidly about her past mistakes and acknowledged that she had previously endorsed unhealthy products when she was not fully informed. She explained that she has since rejected many of those recommendations. Samantha shared that she has now integrated health and fitness into her lifestyle and strives to inspire those within her sphere of influence to adopt healthier lifestyles. She emphasized that with her newfound knowledge, it is hard to overlook things that she was previously unaware of. Whether it is her choice of foods or brands, her entire philosophy is now centered around living a healthy life.

Samantha took a break from acting after she was diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disease. She last appeared on screen in the 2023 films Shaakunthalam with Dev Mohan and Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda. In 2022, Samantha spoke for the first time about her myositis diagnosis.
