Canadian airport security mistakes woman’s portable charger for sex toy

A Vancouver woman, Lucia, found herself in an embarrassing situation at the airport due to a rather peculiar portable charger. On X, Lucia recounted her ordeal when her portable charger was mistaken for a sex toy. The unconventional design of the portable charger is inspired by the Soul Stone from Diablo 3.

At first, security officers flagged her bag, suspecting it was a knife. But things took a hilarious turn when they asked her if she was carrying a “self-indulgence device.” An understandably nervous Lucia had no idea what they were referring to until a closer look revealed the source of the confusion: her Diablo 3 Soulstone power bank.

The Soul Stone, a pointed, cone-shaped item that appears in the game and contains the essence of demons, seems to have surprised security personnel.

She wrote on X: “I was stopped at airport security and asked if I had a knife, which of course I didn’t. I was then awkwardly asked if I had a ‘self-indulgence device’ in my backpack and was HORRIFIED… Turns out it was my Blizzcon-exclusive Diablo III soulstone power bank.”

The post soon went viral on X and generated a variety of reactions from Internet users.

One user joked: “The person who asked the question was hoping you’d call him a knife so he wouldn’t have to ask the next question.”

Another user commented: “Hey, I had a similar incident with this portable charger at the airport. They pulled me aside and said, ‘What is this? It looks weird.'”

The third user wrote: “I thought airport security in the US required you to put a magic power bank in your checked luggage, right?”

“I bet they asked in a loud tone so everyone could hear,” wrote the fourth user.

“I know I shouldn’t laugh at this but omg this is just too epic. I’m embarrassed for you though,” wrote the fifth user.
