Class 2A District BB: Errors, walks lead to postseason loss | Sports

Tuesday’s Class 2A Substate 2 game concluded with Iowa Falls-Alden holding a clear advantage in the hits department, but the Cadets still saw their season come to an end due to deficiencies in two other important statistics: walks and errors.

Dike-New Hartford advanced to the next round with a 7-2 victory despite being outscored 9-4 by IF-A, but two pitchers, Connor Dancer and Lewis Textor, combined to strike out 13 batters and issue just two walks.
