Home and Away fans question plot hole in dramatic episode: ‘A big mistake’

If you are up to date with At home and away You already know those mischievous River Boys have been up to something new, and this time it looks like they’re about to take down Mali Hudson (Kyle Schilling) with them and fans aren’t too happy about it.

Long story short, a Mangrove River police officer was murdered, the River Boys are involved, Mali had a previous interaction with the boys when they helped him out of a jam and now he had to return the favor but ended up with a bag that has the murder weapon, a bloody shirt, and the slain police officer’s ID.

Mali ended up back at the River Boys’ hideout to dump the bag with them, but unfortunately for him, it was just as the police showed up, so it looks like he was caught red-handed with the notorious gang.

At home and away Fans, though caught up in the drama, have one burning question for Mali: though he was caught in absolutely the wrong place at the wrong time, WHY was he dumb enough to touch literally EVERYTHING in that killer bag?

RELATED:

“Why did Mali touch the stuff in the bag? Her fingerprints are all over it!” one person questioned. “Ah Mali, you shouldn’t have gotten involved,” another sad fan said.

“Mali walked into the lion’s den. She shouldn’t have opened the bag. Big mistake,” commented another.

Others were surprised that Mali didn’t try to plead his innocence after police stormed the premises. “Mali needs to be more honest about how he came to be involved instead of being wrongly loyal and secretive,” one fan said. “It’s like two different people.”

“I agree… he doesn’t even claim his innocence. He just stands there staring at me like everyone else… looking guilty,” another person agreed.

Some other fans pointed out some logistical holes in the plot. “How did Mali know where to drop off the bag? It’s not like they’re friends,” one person asked.

“Correct me, but isn’t this going to be passed on to Homicide now that they have a strong suspect?” another asked. “Of course not, there’s no logic in Summer Bay,” one person joked in response.
