Ivo Mirchev: Boyko Borisov does not want a government now, but will do so under pressure from Peevski ᐉ Fakti.bg News – Bulgaria

We were not aware of the symbiosis between Borisov and Peevski. This was stated by Ivo Mirchev from “Democratic Bulgaria” in the bTV studio.

„Later we realized that when you enter Borisov’s office you also meet Peevski: decisions are made together there. And the government that must be formed now, believe me, Boyko Borisov does not want.. This happens under pressure from Peevski, simply because Peevski has a strong influence in the GERB,” he explained.

According to him, Delyan Peevski is currently the owner of the judicial system, services and the Ministry of the Interior. “Now he will also have a government, he will be able to replace 130 people on the regulators. Peevski has no measure and Borisov knows very well that such a government would be catastrophic for the country, he also noted.

Ivo Mirchev also commented on the loss of 300,000 votes during the “2 in 1” voting, which took place on June 9.

„We made many mistakes and were punished by the voters, by the people whose support we have always counted on. That is why we have a resignation and we have assumed responsibility, but it must also be clear that we have to start a new conversation with these people,” he said.

According to him, these people have not betrayed the right-wing political space: “they simply did not go out to vote and did not choose any of the other political alternatives.” Mirchev also stated that “Blue Bulgaria” is a “poisonous double” that has not achieved any electoral success.

„We must humbly introduce ourselves to these people and ask them again for their support, but after a new conversation. This will be a long conversation. In no case should we ignore the mistakes they clearly made, he explained.

Mirchev pointed out that one of the mistakes of the PP-DB was not explaining to its voters why they should support a government together with the GERB. The second mistake, according to him, is that GERB did not assume any political responsibility, although the government was formed with the support of Boyko Borisov.

And their third mistake was that they created unrealistic expectations among the people that they could do something with 64 deputies.
