In the July 1 episode of The Young and the RestlessSummer told Kyle she wanted to review the custody agreement. Kyle insisted she not do it, but Summer was not deterred, which could be a mistake.
Wrong move
Kyle (Michael Mealor) urged Summer (Allison Lanier) to consider what was best for Harrison (Kellen Enriquez). However, Summer didn’t listen and asked Kyle to call her lawyer.
It seems like Summer isn’t making the smartest move. We understand that she’s worried about Claire (Hayley Erin) being around Harrison. However, Harrison clearly has a bond with the woman he was kidnapped with. Separating them could end up causing him more emotional trauma. It seems like there’s something about being around her that has helped the little guy.
Plus, there’s the issue of Summer declaring to Harrison that he can’t be around Audra (Zuleyka Silver, who recently made a big change). Sure, Audra is a ruthless businesswoman and Summer doesn’t have to like her. However, there’s nothing to indicate that Audra is a danger to Harrison. We agree with her that Kyle is making mistakes by joining Audra in Glissade, but how does that put the little guy in danger?
Trying to use it as an excuse to re-examine custody doesn’t seem like a good idea. It almost seems like Summer could end up losing custody and any time she has with the little boy. After all, Tara Locke is his biological mother and it’s not even entirely clear if she ever adopted Harrison.
What do you think? Is Summer making a bad move here?
