When pregnant Shanann Watts and her two daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, disappeared from their Colorado home in mid-August 2018, Shanann’s husband, Chris, appeared in front of news cameras to beg for his return and stated: “It’s like a nightmare from which I can’t wake up.”

In the investigation that followed, Watts allegedly told authorities that Shanann had strangled his daughters and that he strangled her, and then transported the three bodies to an oil site where he worked. Watts later confessed to killing the children as well. He was charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
