Nissan is busy ending the development of ICE ideas or promising that the next GT-R (R36) will once again be a crazy supercar. However, rumors and the imaginative realm of digital automotive content creators have other plans.

In fact, the Japanese automaker has taken a radically different approach from Toyota, Mazda and Subaru, which recently announced they plan to partner to develop cleaner, more efficient next-generation combustion engines. Instead, Nissan is reportedly stopping investments in diesel and gasoline altogether: they’re basically done spending money on ICE.

However, that doesn’t mean its upcoming GT-R version will be affected, as the company has promised to deliver yet another Legend, but it needs more time to develop the R36 and it may no longer come with a gasoline engine. During that time, rumors and parallel universes of vehicular CGI thought that Nissan would be quite busy putting its latest strategy into action, and there were already ideas about which models should come out next.

Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist best known as kelsonik on social media, he thinks now is the right time with CGI to make a more luxurious Nissan Murano, especially since the third generation of the Z52 has been around since 2014, no less than a decade ago. Based on the latest spy photos, these renderings imagine the fourth Murano as the older, ICE-powered brother of the all-electric Aryia, judging by the front fascia and rear treatment.

By the way, there’s also a quick comparison between the new CGI Murano and the old (real) one, just to make it easier to see the changes. However, remember that these are unofficial representations and should be taken with a grain of salt until the automaker makes everything official. Also, suppose you would like Nissan to release a larger model. SUV. In that case, Dimas Ramadhan, the virtual automotive artist behind the Digimods DESIGN channel on YouTube, has taken on the task of CGI revealing an entirely new Armada (the current generation shares the same underpinnings as the iconic Patrol).

This time, the pixel master was not inspired by spy photos or the all-electric Aryia. Instead, he referenced the recent Nissan Qashqai facelift introduced in Europe for the compact crossover SUV. Interestingly, it doesn’t look as bad on the much larger Armada, but it’s also not necessarily worthy of being called a completely new generation because it’s more of an extensive facelift, like on the Qashqai. So what’s your favorite CGI? The new Aryia-inspired Nissan Murano crossover SUV or the Qashqai-influenced full-size Armada SUV? Or maybe none of them?
