Oscar Piastri almost caused a dangerous incident after making a mistake at his second pit stop at Spa.
The Australian star entered the pits too quickly and almost knocked down a member of the pit crew.

“He crashed into the guy with the front jack and it was that guy who really absorbed all the impact and minimised the effect,” Sky Sports’ Ted Kravitz said.
“Yes, he lost a second and a half, two seconds, but he did a great job of stopping to recover.” McLaren “The front jack man took the full hit and the McLaren team dealt very well with Oscar’s small mistake.”
Piastri’s mistake caused a slow pit stop, but his race was not harmed by this error.

Charles Leclerc He was vulnerable to the faster McLaren on newer tyres, and Piastri pulled off a spectacular overtake to take third place.
Soon he was chasing the two of them. Mercedes for the lead, but ran out of laps to claim his second consecutive race win.
However, Piastri did claim another podium finish and crucially outperformed his teammate. Lando Norris in P6.
