Eagle-Eyed NFL Fans Spot Permanent ‘Error’ in Chiefs’ 14.8-Carat, $50,000 Super Bowl Rings, and Fans Call It ‘Embarrassing’

NFL fans noticed a brutal mistake on the 14.8-carat Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rings.

Kansas City held a ring ceremony for its 2023-24 Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers as players, coaches and front office employees received the jewel at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

The band has 529 diamonds and 38 rubies with engravings around them.

The top portion of the engraving inside the ring lists the Chiefs’ 26-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

However, observant fans noticed social media that a graphic showing the ring showed the Dolphins as the seventh seed, which was inaccurate since they were the sixth seed in the AFC.

Fans were hysterical over the bug in X, formerly known as Twitter.

“How do you mess this up?” one asked.

“Someone is losing their job,” said another.

“This is absolutely disgraceful,” added a third.

However, Kansas City Fox 4 host Harold Kuntz noted that the error could only be in the graph revealed to the public.

The actual ring usually costs between $30,000 and $50,000.

The ring includes four marquise-cut diamonds representing the team’s four Lombardi trophies.
