The only easy mistake you can make when traveling to Download Festival, as the organizers say: “be aware”

Download Festival kicks off this weekend and tens of thousands of fans will hit the roads to see Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold headline the three-day event. Campsites at Donington Park open from Wednesday 12 June and as such travelers can expect extra cars on the road from then until campers leave the festival site on Monday 17 June.

To ensure traffic is managed properly, Download Festival has issued one crucial piece of advice that music fans should keep in mind when heading to the rural racetrack and that is to follow road signs rather than relying on their navigators. by satellite.

In the latest travel update, the festival told those heading to the venue that satnavs are unlikely to detect road closures, roadworks or congestion. As such, they have asked those traveling to follow color-coded routes and road signs instead of relying on technology.
