The Kremlin says Biden does not respect Putin and the whole world pays attention to his mistakes

JAKARTA – The Kremlin says the whole world is paying attention to Joe Biden’s mistakes at a NATO summit. The Kremlin finds the way the US president refers to Russian President Vladimir Putin unacceptable.

The Kremlin commented on Biden’s misconduct, introducing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as “President Putin,” before immediately correcting itself.

In another language, Biden mixes the names of Kamala Harris, his vice president, and his electoral opponent Donald Trump.

“We are paying attention that everyone is paying attention to what is happening, and there is no comment here (on our part), but it is clear that this is misconduct,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

It is understandable, however, that they will receive a broad response given the context of the internal political discussions we are witnessing now in the United States.

“This is not our issue, it is an internal issue for the United States,” he said.

Peskov said the prospects for a US presidential candidate would be determined by US voters, not Russian ones.

But he added that the Kremlin had noted what they called Biden’s disrespectful comments toward Putin.

He did not say what the comments were, but Biden called Putin at the NATO summit “a crazy person who likes to kill.”

“We continue to consider the actions of a head of state who made disrespectful statements against other heads of state to be unacceptable and inadmissible. I mean his statements about President Putin,” Peskov said.

“We cannot accept this and, in our opinion, it does not reflect well on an American head of state. This is something that concerns us directly and which we cannot accept at all,” he added.
