Characters need time to evolve on screen

Television shows don’t need to have a huge number of episodes; a limited number eliminates the filler episodes common on network television shows with 20+ episodes each year. However, this means that a shorter series faces a huge challenge in terms of allowing characters to grow and mature in such a short period of time. The same goes for The Mandalorian Season 3, episode 4, where the duration was just 33 minutes. It’s okay for episodes to be shorter, but only if they feel complete and aren’t just episodes where a lot of the plot is thrown at the audience. If this trend continues, it will be a huge bummer for viewers who are expecting longer episodes that move the story forward.
