Andre Onana: Mistakes are part of life

Manchester United and Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana has hit back at critics who criticised him during his first season at Manchester United.

Onana, who joined Manchester United on a five-year contract last summer, had a debut season to forget, conceding more than 50 goals over the course of last season.

The Cameroonian was sometimes to blame for some of the goals he conceded and one of them, the most notable, was a mistake against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, when Manchester United failed to qualify for the round of 16.

However, ahead of the new season, Onana has revealed how humans cannot eliminate bugs.

“I think it’s part of life, that is, of those who don’t make mistakes, and to be honest, I’ve seen enough to take on this responsibility. My past already says it all about me,” he said.

Onana also revealed how it took her a while to adjust to life in Manchester.

“When you move to a country, some people need time and it took me six months to feel okay, not be okay, but feel okay,” she added.

The goalkeeper also spoke about how Manchester United are preparing for this season.

“This season will be tough, we know that, but we have to show a lot of character on the pitch.”

Onana and his teammates are currently on a pre-season tour in the United States and hope to banish bad memories of last season.
