Karnataka Home Minister and Congress leader G Parameshwara congratulated Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on his third term as he will take oath as Prime Minister on Sunday evening.
“Congratulations to Prime Minister-designate Modi for becoming Prime Minister for the third time. In the last 10 years, the people have suffered a lot. We have to work from the people’s point of view. Let us correct all the mistakes committed in the past. The Ministers are desperate to protect the interests of the state,” said Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara.

Prime Minister Modi will take oath of office today at 7:15 pm along with his council of ministers in a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unanimously passed a resolution to elect Narendra Modi as its leader on June 5.
With today’s inauguration, Narendra Modi will become the only leader after former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who has been elected for a third consecutive term after completing the full term of each previous term.

All security measures have been implemented for the mega event. Five companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed to ensure security of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The BJP won 240 seats and the National Democratic Alliance won 292 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats. The Congress fought the elections as part of the INDIA bloc and the parties together were able to prevent the BJP from winning a majority on its own in the Lok Sabha.
