A local saw the stuck BYD vehicle and shared it on social media.
“I don’t know if you can park there,” they captioned one video.
“Sunday terrors in full swing,” they captioned a photo of the vehicle still stuck an hour later.
The incident was then shared on The Bell Tower Times Facebook page, where comments clarified the situation.
“Beach Your Dreams,” one person joked, referencing the BYD brand name being the capital letters of the Build Your Dreams slogan.
“Stuck your dreams?” suggested another person.
Many wondered why the vehicle was in the sand to begin with.
“People driving on the beach deserve it,” one person said.
“Why are they trying to drive their cars on the beach?” another person said.
A person who claimed to be the owner of the vehicle said he had driven to the beach to take some photographs.
“But we didn’t expect the front of the car to get stuck,” they said.
“As this car only has a tow hook at the front, we had no choice but to make a U-turn.
“However, it is clear that we should have called for help as soon as we realized we couldn’t move him.
“We tried to move it all night.”
