After much soul searching, Alex came to a conclusion and surprisingly, Theresa had the same epiphany on the June 18 episode of days of our lives. Plus, Leo met a (somewhat) familiar face and then made a surprising decision. Of course, these moments could lead to big mistakes.
Alex turned a corner
Marlena (Deidre Hall) spread a lot of love on this episode of DAYS. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) approached her and confided in him about her thought process and her relationships with Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien). During his session with her, he revealed that after much contemplation about her life, he is in love with Theresa, which makes Marlena happy that he is making progress despite what she may secretly think about the relationship. women. Alex met Theresa later in Horton Square and finally confessed his feelings for her. Theresa also admitted that she loved him too and seemed sincere about it.
But Alex had explained to Marlena that he had heard the stories about his girlfriend’s misdeeds and decided not to let that influence him. He could be making a big mistake because not only has she been working to scam him out of his inheritance, but she also has deeper feelings for Brady (Eric Martsolf).
But maybe she’s changed her mind and decided that since Konstantin’s (John Kapelos) death, there’s no need for a money-grabbing scheme, and she could just be happy with Alex. Even if that happens, when the truth finally comes out about her relationship with the late villain, he’ll toss her around like a hot potato.
Leo’s meeting gave us flashbacks
In Horton Square, Leo (Greg Rikaart) ran into someone he hadn’t met yet: Theresa. As fans will remember, she played Leo’s best friend and accomplice, Gwen Rizczech. There was a fun familiarity to this encounter that reminded us of the chemistry the two actors have and the fun moments that can still happen.
He had heard about Leo (thankfully, making the scene less expositional) and the seed was planted for the two to start sharing more scenes together. However, Leo has been trying to become a better person, and with a friend like her, all her work could go down the drain if she involves him in another crazy scheme.
Later, Leo got a date with Marlena and talked about the damage his mother caused him by telling him he was unlovable throughout his life. Marlena proclaimed him “eminently adorable,” much to his surprise and happiness. Her words moved him so much that when she left the room to do something, he grabbed her phone and called the Statesville prison to schedule a visit with her mother.
Whether he confronts her and tells her that her abuse no longer has any effect on him, or he simply returns her love despite her horrible ways, we hope his visit happens on screen so we can enjoy the great Judith. Chapman’s wonderful presence! Sure, it might be a mistake for Leo, but it would be a win for viewers.
