Larry Wheels shares his decision to quit bodybuilding after going back on steroids.

Larry Ruedas has been on a bodybuilding journey for the past two years to take the Classic Physique stage. Recently, Wheels shared a video on YouTube announcing that she will quit bodybuilding after a relapse and return to a full steroid cycle.

“Last year, I made a video saying I quit steroids, and as of three months ago, I relapsed and went back on a full cycle of steroids.”

Wheels is one of the biggest fitness stars in the world today and has taken on many challenges. She has been working towards her Pro card in bodybuilding. Wheels finished as runner-up at the 2023 Olympia Amateur and came close to achieving this goal.

Wheels claims he got into bodybuilding to build his brand.

“I have faced several challenges with my company’s public relations that led me to go into panic mode and make the decision to go into bodybuilding in an attempt to attract more eyes to what I am doing and in turn help my mark to get back to where it was. It was and even better.

That was a big mistake. “That’s not what I should have done to build my brand.”

Wheels has stopped taking steroids, but shared that he “relapsed” and returned to a full cycle.

Larry Wheels talks about the steroid cycle

Larry Wheels initially stopped taking steroids after a visit to the doctor to have his health checked. He has been substance-free for over a year, but shared that he started using again about three months ago.

“Going back on steroids goes against everything I said I would do. It is compromising my health, my integrity because now I am going against my own word. “It’s compromising my trust.”

Larry Wheels shared that his decision to pursue bodybuilding did not come from a genuine place. Instead, it was to build his brand and draw attention to him. Because of this, he has decided to withdraw from the program he was preparing.

“A couple of days ago I made a public announcement on Instagram saying I was going to do a show in Ireland. I won’t do that show, I won’t commit to it. I’m not going to go ahead with that.

I am withdrawing from this competition that I said I would do. “I don’t want to get my Pro card. I don’t want to be a competitive athlete anymore because it’s a distraction from what I want out of my life when I’m 30.”

Wheels has also been training to deadlift 1,000 pounds. That has been his goal in weightlifting for quite some time. He will also leave this behind because he would require him to do things that he wouldn’t want to do.

“The 1,000-pound deadlift would require me to put on more equipment, eat more food, and be bigger than I’ve ever been, which is certainly the unhealthiest thing I can imagine right now.”

Larry Wheels saluted those who continue to pursue their bodybuilding dreams on a professional level.

“I take my hat off to those who are able to maintain a healthy relationship and build their business and live and manage a successful career while being a professional and competitive bodybuilder.”
