Fourth place went to Google, which suspended the image generation option for Gemini, its generative AI platform, a few months ago. the reason? The tool began to create historically inaccurate images. There were black Nazis, women representing Catholic popes, and indigenous peoples like the Vikings or the founders of the United States.
If it were written in the message there would be no problem, because it is a creative process that can be used to illustrate a series, a story or anything else. But the truth was not like that.

These inconsistencies occurred because Google tried to make AI image creation more representative. These platforms often create stereotypes. Diogo explains that when they ask about leaders, they are most likely to answer white men. By trying to change this, Google ended up making historical mistakes.
I really like this example because it shows us how AI is subject to the problems we face as humans. We have a serious problem of inequality and it is debated that these technologies can further deepen these problems, but the solution does not seem to come from a technological point of view.
