Doctors warn men to stop making the same dangerous mistake by shaving “under”

Doctors have issued a warning to lads who make the same dangerous mistake by shaving ‘under’.

I know what you’re thinking: “Isn’t it nice to keep the garden tidy?”

In short, yes.

“Taking care of your pubic hair improves your hygiene routine and builds greater confidence,” explains Meridian Grooming.

“When you feel good about your body, you just feel better overall.

“Shaving your pubic hair, or even trimming it lightly, helps keep your products cleaner by exposing the skin to soap and water that is normally covered by hair.”

Pretty simple.

It can also help with, let’s just call it, aesthetics.

“Some people trim because they like the way trimmed assets look, and you may trim too because that’s what your partner wants,” they added.

“As long as you stay true to your preferences and what you find beautiful, everything will be fine.”

The problem with shaving pubic hair

According to a 2017 study published in the Diary of the American Medical Association, DermatologyUsing a razor to shave your genitals is an easy way to hurt yourself.

One of the authors of this study, Thomas Gaither, warned Inverse: “What surprised us is how common injuries are.

“Approximately one percent of groomers have sought medical attention due to an injury.”

The academics used a sample size of 7,456 adults aged 18 to 65.

They found that 66.5 percent of men and 85.3 percent of women reported a history of grooming.

Of the 25.6 percent who reported injuries related to grooming, nearly two-thirds had cut themselves.

As a result, men often injured their scrotum.

The safest way to get ready

The safest way to groom your pubic region is to use a trimmer, rather than a razor.

“Body groomers offer the safest, healthiest way to style your hair; we create ours with exacting quality standards that deliver amazing results,” suggested Meridian Grooming.

“The trimmer features replaceable, rust-resistant ceramic blades, plus extra-sensitive technology to handle coarse, curly hair without painful pulling or cutting.

“You can adjust the guide combs to choose the length you prefer, and our waterproof trimmer is easy to transport or throw in your gym bag.

“Remember that removing body hair is a personal choice and we’re all about empowering self-care on your own terms so you can feel your best every day.

“We encourage you to embrace self-care with confidence – find the routine that works best for you and enjoy the results.”
