Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently revealed that he had smoked cannabis in his life and at one point he really liked it, but then realized that it was not wise to continue. He Wasseypur Gangs The actor said he found himself in the company of some people, which motivated him to start smoking.
On Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, when asked if he had ever tried smoking, Nawaz said, “I had the company of some people who smoked, so even I ended up doing that. Then I realized that… I don’t want to promote it, I have made mistakes but its benefit was that jo traveling milti thi usmein, bada maza aata tha (The high you would get was so much fun). But I don’t want to promote it at all, it was our mistake and I want to apologize for that.”
Nawaz also admitted to having consumed bhang a couple of times, especially during Holi, and said that in his intoxication he would feel like “the greatest actor in the world”. “I believe that people are my audience and the world is my stage. Then, I would act! Sometimes it was Ashwatthama, Karn, Krishna and he would perform for hours.”
“Because you go into a loop, so I was acting from morning until night. Later, when the effect wore off, people told me: ‘Paagal ho gaya kya hai tu? (Have you gone crazy?) You’ve been repeating the same dialogue all day! I went to parks, I performed on buses, wherever,” he added.
