Nawazuddin Siddiqui REVEALS that he smoked marijuana in his youth under the influence of some people; Says ‘I have made mistakes…’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently shared that he was addicted to marijuana at some point in his life. He said that he used to have a lot of fun smoking it. Later, the actor clarified that he does not promote it and would like to apologise for talking about it. Nawazuddin also said that at that time he was in bad company of friends and claimed that he used to feel like the biggest star in the world.

In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia for his podcast, Nawazuddin said, “I was in the company of some people who were smoking, so even I ended up doing it. I realized later that… I don’t want to promote it, I have made mistakes, but its benefit was that jo traveling milti thi usmein, bada maza aata tha (the high you got from that was very fun). But I don’t want to promote it at all, it was our mistake and I want to apologize for that.”

He also shared that under the influence of marijuana, he used to feel like he was the ‘greatest actor in the world.’ “I would think that people are my audience and the world is my stage. Then, I would act! Sometimes it was Ashwatthama, Karn, Krishna and he would perform for hours. Because you go into a loop, then it would act from morning until night. Later, when the effect of it wore off, people would say to me, ‘Paagal ho gaya kya hai tu? You’ve been repeating the same dialogue all day! I went to parks, I performed on buses, wherever,” he added.
