DENZEL Danes’ drugs secret is exposed when he makes a fatal mistake in EastEnders.
The teenager, played by Jaden Ladega, has been taking steroids in recent weeks to improve his physique, but has also had to deal with the side effects.
His loved ones don’t know what he’s up to, but his friend Nugget does and has started taking them along too in the last few episodes.
However, in upcoming EastEnders spoilers, the teens are preparing for the boxing tournament when Tommy makes fun of Nugget, who gets angry at him.
Zack and Ravi break them up, while Denzel tells Nugget to calm down before people get mad about the steroids.
Convinced they’re onto something, Zack puts up a “drug testing” sign and Denzel freaks out, unaware it’s just a deterrent.
When Denzel doesn’t show up, Nugget goes to look for him, but falls ill and heads to number 41 for help.
However, the young man falls to the ground before he can reach anyone.
Fortunately, Avani alerts Priya and Nish and Nugget is rushed to the hospital.
Nugget eventually regains consciousness, but Priya and Ravi are devastated when doctors say his kidneys are not responding and he may need long-term dialysis.
The pressure builds as his parents, then the policepress Nugget to tell them who supplied the drugsbut he won’t say it.
Back in Albert Square, Denzel is horrified to hear what happened to Nugget and begins to panic.
Howie goes to look for his son, so Denzel hides in The Boxing Den to avoid him, but Zack finds him.
