A woman publicly shamed her fiancé after he made an awkward mistake with some bamboo plates.
Caroline Wise, 25, from Texas, took to TikTok to poke fun at her husband-to-be by sharing a text exchange relating to their wedding gift registry.
She revealed that her fiancé Austin Reed Thomas, 27, had panicked over a particular item in what turned out to be a comical misunderstanding.
And dozens of viewers were quick to comment on the confusion with their own playful remarks.

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 1.7 million times, Caroline used a green screen to superimpose herself over the screenshots.
“In today’s edition of being in a relationship with a straight man…” she said with a mischievous smile.
‘My fiancé sends me this text about our wedding registry.
“He said, ‘Can you take those bamboo plates off me? I’m allergic to bamboo.'”
Caroline was stunned by the request and replied, “Are you kidding me?”
Austin responded with a simple “no” before showing viewers the kitchen utensils in question.
She revealed that the plates were actually bamboo porcelain salad plates from Pillivuyt.
The set of four, priced at $109.95, is made of porcelain with a delicate bamboo pattern running around the rim.

Caroline responded to her future husband to ease his concerns, writing: “That’s just the pattern. It’s not real bamboo. These are ceramic.”
Austin sheepishly concluded, “How am I supposed to know that?”
The content creator uploaded the clip along with a caption that read: “I love that man and at least he keeps it interesting.”
And the exchange left viewers in hysterics as one of them joked: “GIRL, IT’S NOT TOO LATE.”
“That would be a deal breaker for me,” another joked.
Someone else described it as a “red flag” and a fourth commented: “Welcome to the rest of your life.”
Following the widespread outrage, Caroline posted a second video in response to a comment that read: “Make sure you include them in the divorce.”
She said: “I never thought I’d wake up to a thousand people on the internet telling me to cancel my wedding. But here I am!”
But she quickly brushed off criticism of the couple, who met on Halloween two years ago and are set to marry in November.
