A WWE star has denied deliberately sharing a controversial video to mock Jade Cargill.
In May, social media was awash with speculation that Tiffany Stratton had gotten into trouble with WWE.
The rumors began after Stratton posted a video on social media of himself punching Jade Cargill in a fight, prompting a shocked reaction from Bianca Belair. The clip had a racially insensitive comment and several laughing emojis. It should be noted that the audio in the post was from a meme and was not recorded by Stratton.
The clip was quickly deleted and none of those involved publicly acknowledged it.
Jade Cargill’s video was “an honest mistake”
During an interview with Adrian Hernandez before Money in the Bank, Stratton was asked about the clip and described it as an “honest mistake.”
“It was an unintentional mistake. I didn’t listen to the audio. I had it on for about 20 seconds and I deleted it immediately as soon as I heard the audio. It was an unintentional mistake.”
Despite speculation, it was reported shortly after the incident that Tiffany Stratton was not in trouble and that she remains in good standing with WWE bosses.
Stratton will compete in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on July 6, where she is one of the favorites to win.
