President Joe Biden is getting up earlier and earlier these days.
As the public awaited “big boy” Biden’s press conference on Thursday, the age-challenged president committed the mother of all gaffes by introducing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” Biden told the crowd gathered for the unveiling of the Ukraine Compact, an event adjacent to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit taking place this week in Washington, D.C.
The White House called it a meeting of “32 allies and partners as part of our commitment to Ukraine’s long-term security,” making it the worst-case scenario for such a spectacular mistake.

Biden immediately tried to save face by correcting himself, adding: “I’m so focused on beating Putin that we have to worry about that.”
But the damage was done.
This momentous moment for the 81-year-old president comes as the United States continues to fund the war between Russia and Ukraine, with Biden promising more American taxpayer dollars for Zelenskyy to throw into kyiv’s world peace wishing well.
The State Department reported that as of this month, the United States has provided “$53.7 billion in military assistance” to help Ukraine fight its war with Russia, and there appears to be no end in sight.
Should Biden resign?
One could argue that the continued investment in Zelensky and this war makes no more sense than the words coming out of Biden’s slack-jawed face.
What’s worse is that the man leading America into this clearly suffers from some serious cognitive problems.
Funding military action abroad is serious business, and Biden, who must finish his day before most third graders, does not have the means to manage it.
This fact is undeniably evident, given his dismal debate performance against former President Donald Trump last month, which revealed just how severely impaired Biden’s mental acuity has become.
The worst may be yet to come for Biden, however, as he delayed his “big boy” press conference — a derogatory term repeated by the White House, as noted by the New York Post — scheduled for later in the day.
“Why are Karine Jean-Pierre and John Kirby calling Joe Biden’s upcoming press conference a ‘BIG press conference’?” news contributor Nick Sortor posted on social media platform X on Monday.
“This is pathetic. They have to treat Joe Biden like a little child,” he added of the White House press secretary and spokesman.
Why are Karine Jean-Pierre and John Kirby calling Joe Biden’s upcoming press conference a “BIG press conference”?
This is so pathetic.
They need to treat Joe Biden like a fucking little kid.

Pathetic indeed, but also dangerous.
America’s adversaries — including Putin — look on as the leader of the free world pathetically fumbles for words and mixes up names like a nursing home patient, all while global politics becomes a tinderbox that could explode at any moment.
Sadly, the White House continues to defend its eldest son with an early bedtime, while America cries out for a competent adult.
