With over two decades of experience behind the DJ booth, Afrojack is one of the most seasoned pros on many line-ups. Despite all those years, he proved that even the best sometimes make mistakes during a set at a festival this weekend.
Last weekend, many of the biggest names in electronic music descended on Croatia for Ultra Europe. Fans from around the world were excited to experience one of the biggest festivals on European soil. With a lineup packed with artists such as Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix and more, it’s a weekend that many look forward to every year. With the event in full swing, Afrojack took to the main stage late on Sunday for what was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated sets.
Demonstrating his incredible ability to create unique mixes and edits, whilst also delivering hits from his back catalogue and new IDs, he gives fans one of the most exciting and unexpected sets every time he takes to the stage. In the midst of stage transitions and production, Afrojack lost control of his DJ work for a brief moment, allowing a shower of fireworks to rise into the night sky as the speakers suddenly went silent. After a moment of confusion, the Dutch DJ grabbed the microphone and said, “I can guarantee you that throughout my 20 years of DJing, this was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life.”
The best make mistakes, and Afrojack proved that by moving forward with enthusiasm. Watch the video below to see the moment he made his big mistake.
