TRAVEL experts have revealed the simplest mistake that will make everyone else at the resort hate you.
For those outdoor enthusiasts looking to set up their tents in the midst of this summer season, this tip could help them have a pleasant camping experience.
A travel enthusiast on Reddit recently asked what the most common camping etiquette was.
And just like on every other subreddit, experts started posting comments sharing their number one tip.
The most popular response was to respect other people’s privacy.

Travelers have been urged to stay in their own campsites and not walk around other people’s tents as this could seriously invade their privacy.
Most travelers go camping to relax and unwind, and snooping around in their tents might make them really hate you.
It is best to stay in your own tents and set clear boundaries around them to avoid confusion.
Another way to disturb other happy campers is to make too much noise at unsociable times on site.
One camping expert advised: “It makes sense to be respectful of others and noise, and parents should be extra vigilant about their children’s noise levels between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.”

Three tips from an expert for camping
David Scotland is the owner of camping equipment retailer Outdoor World Direct and knows all about making a camping trip run smoothly.
When visiting any campsite this summer it is important to make sure you don’t make any simple mistakes that could ruin your holiday.
Check your tent
David recommends setting up your tent a couple of weeks before you travel to allow enough time to repair or replace any damaged parts.
He told Sun Online Travel: “You’d be surprised how many people turn up with broken tents.”
Testing the ground
Choosing a good place to pitch your tent is difficult and requires many things to consider.
One of them should be the condition of the ground on which you are going to put up the tent, according to David.
He said, “Once you’ve found the perfect spot, test the ground with your stakes before you decide to camp there to make sure the ground is soft enough.”
Don’t take a nap in your tent
It may seem like the perfect place for it, but a nap in a tent could end badly if done at the wrong time of day.
David explained: “If the sun is shining and it’s hot inside your tent, don’t do it!
“One of our friends fell asleep in his tent during a heatwave at Glastonbury and ended up in the medical tent with heat stroke.”
Instead, he recommends finding some shade outdoors or a well-ventilated location.
