The Tesla Cybertruck’s design has sparked controversy, with some loving its edgy looks and others believing it’s a garbage bin on wheels. Now, animals are giving their opinions and doing so in the most honest way possible.
Find out which celebrity couldn’t even park his Cybertruck.
A Tesla owner posted on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum that he went camping overnight in Minnesota recently. Some raccoons tried to get into “the vault,” or through the bed cover to access the cargo, probably because they smelled something good in there.
Photos of the damage shared by the owner, known as Spidog on the forum, show that the critters shredded part of the edge of the boot cover but failed to break through. They also left muddy footprints everywhere, making the identity of the culprits unmistakable.
If you know anything about raccoons, these little rodents love to raid trash cans for scraps of food. It’s their favorite nighttime activity. So the only logical conclusion is that these raccoons looked at the Cybertruck and immediately assumed it was a trash can. Or a dumpster.
So we got the unbiased opinion of animals to help us settle the debate over what Tesla’s all-electric pickup truck is really like. It’s a trash can on wheels, folks.
Of course, Tesla fans are once again acting like Elon invented the tonneau cover and was the first person to use stainless steel body panels on a vehicle. They seem to believe that no other vehicle could withstand an assault like this.
But we know the truth: With the exception perhaps of some models of the F-150 and Silverado, raccoons would never mistake other pickup trucks for trash cans.
Next, we want to see how the “vault” fares against a hungry grizzly bear. Anyone with a Cybertruck want to park it in Yellowstone overnight with plenty of delicious food in the back?
