Nick Cannon is aware that he can’t always be in two places at once.
In an episode of The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman Earlier this month on a podcast, Cannon, 42, opened up about a time when she couldn’t be there for two of her babies at the same time.
“There was something going on, I don’t know, nothing serious. But kids have scares or weird symptoms or whatever,” Dr. Laura Berman began describing the situation. “And one of the babies, I don’t know how many babies you have together, but your baby had some health issues and needed you emotionally.”

“And I was willing to be there physically, but I don’t know if I was available at the level that she needed me emotionally,” Cannon said.
“And you have to stop, she was focused on you coming to see me and us getting together,” Berman continued. “And us going together, on the date together, instead of meeting at the date,” he said. Masked singer The host responded.
Cannon has fathered 12 children with six women. The actor has twins, Monroe and Moroccan, 12, with ex Mariah Carey, to whom he was married from 2008 to 2016, and twins Zion and Zillion, 2, and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, 6 months, with Abby De La Rosa. “And at the last minute, another baby needed something,” Berman said. “Because another baby had a health issue and needed a prescription,” Cannon confirmed.
“And then you, being the parent, the kids come first, and you said, ‘Well, I can do both,'” Berman said. “‘I’m going to get the medicine (for this baby),’ but (the other mother) needed you.”
“And because of past traumas and triggers for my absence, it probably seemed like I wasn’t prioritizing,” Cannon said.
“And they all have wounds, several of them, they have wounds around not feeling like themselves, and they compare themselves to each other,” Berman said.
“Yeah, because I screw up all the time,” Cannon said. “And my screw ups are usually due to malpractice, being stupid. I didn’t do what I said I was going to do, I forgot to call or I was late.”
Cannon and Berman went on to discuss the reality TV star’s recent Mother’s Day gaffe, when Cannon accidentally sent a card meant for one mother to another. “There’s never anything manipulative or vindictive. But things happen,” Cannon concluded.
