Formula 1 | Norris and the need to restart after another mistake in Spa

F1 GP Belgium Norris – Forced to close behind Max Verstappen at the end of a difficult race that never really lived up to expectations, Lando Norris did not hide his dissatisfaction with the result obtained at Spa, highlighting how the mistakes made in the last month and a half had led him to lose several points to the three-time world champion.

Despite McLaren’s competitiveness, which was also evident on the Spa-Francorchamps track, the Briton has not managed to win since the trip to Miami and this is causing a lot of fuss in the paddock, especially among the press and professionals. A situation that is no longer acceptable, given the objectives that he and the team have set for the second part of 2024, which should lead the category to a clear reaction from the next test in Zandvoort scheduled for the end of August.

Norris and stupid mistakes

“I need to reset. In the last three or four races I lost a lot of points due to stupid mistakes. In Hungary it was at the start, while here it was at the exit of Turn 1. I don’t know why I ended up in the gravel, I repeat it was stupid. It wasn’t even a difficult thing as I just wanted to avoid problems. I was trying to make sure there was space and that I didn’t get hit, but then I went off the track. These are stupid things that are unfortunately costing me dearly.”
