Interpersonal relationships are complex and require attention and understanding, and many women make two mistakes in their relationships with men, says psychologist Molvinskaya.
According to her, the first mistake is for the woman to start assuming the role of mother in the relationship.
“This phenomenon is reflected in excessive care and control, which is not appropriate in a relationship. A woman should not be a mother to her husband because then she tries to control all aspects of her partner’s life, takes care of him like a child and solves his problems,” she explained to the Gazeta portal. She points out that this type of behavior leads to an imbalance in the relationship, so the partner may begin to feel dependent, infantile and, as a result, may lose interest and respect for the woman.
“The reasons for this behaviour may be rooted in family relationships and stereotypes, according to which women learn from childhood that their main role is to care for and protect. However, in relationships between adults, this approach is not only ineffective, but also harmful.
A relationship between a partner involves equality, mutual respect and support, not parental care and control. “Women must learn to trust their partner and allow him to show independence and responsibility,” she said.
Another mistake he points out is insecurity about one’s own desires and goals.
“If a woman cannot clearly express her desires and goals, this leads to tensions and misunderstandings with her partner, as well as to estrangement from her. After all, it is difficult for her partner to satisfy needs that the woman does not express and satisfy,” Molvinskaya said.
She advises women to work on themselves and gain self-confidence. She also stresses the importance of open and honest communication with their partner and sharing their thoughts and feelings, Index.hr reports.
