Japanese TikTok content creator Sora Fula has been in the spotlight after she apparently mistook the gelatin used in cendol for a type of Malaysian ramen.

Fula, who lives in Malaysia and occasionally creates content in Malay, shared a video on June 18 of her cooking green rice flour jelly along with savory ingredients like garlic and bean sprouts.

Cendol is a sweet frozen dessert, usually topped with red beans, gelatin, and syrup.

He cooks it like soup.

At the beginning of the video, which has more than 2 million views, Fula showed a package of cendol found in a local supermarket.

“I’m going to try the Malaysian ramen,” he said seriously.

However, he pondered the color of the gelatin before starting to cook.

Fula first fried some garlic and bean sprouts together and then added water, broth and soy sauce to the mixture.

Finally, he poured an entire bowl of gelatin into the “soup,” before serving it into a wooden bowl.

Fula asked: “Does it look delicious?”

He then showed the bowl of steaming “cendol soup” to his cat, who was visibly bewildered.

The TikToker did a taste test and seemed confused when she finally tried it.

She asked viewers if she had boiled it for too long, as it was too soft.
