While issues like superhero fatigue and box office bombs continue to plague Marvel, the studio finally seems to have some good news in store.
With the arrival of the mutant crew to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio has the golden opportunity to repair the mistakes made by 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox) with X Men.
So far, Marvel has brought in new blood for the live-action reboot and from the looks of it, Michael Lesslie may be onto something. And fans are ready to go with this new update, so whatever Kevin Feige needs to do to ensure this project sees the light of day, he should do it.
marvel X Men Reboot Reportedly Receiving Exciting Update
It looks like Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Studios is going to pay off after all because Marvel has a can’t-miss opportunity to do something Fox never could: make the perfect movie. X Men movie.
British playwright Michael Lesslie recently joined the upcoming X Men live-action reboot in the MCU as a screenwriter, and it is rumored that he could be the knight in shining armor for both the studio and the fandom.
Industry insider Daniel Richtman has a new scoop that Lesslie, who wrote the script for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – supposedly proposed the brilliant idea of bringing the entire team X-Men ’97 to the cinematic revival (via ScreenTime).
Just a month ago, an animated television series starring the group of mutant superheroes premiered on Disney+. And while there’s no official confirmation on whether or not the iconic group will make it to the MCU’s live-action outing, fans are beyond excited at the mere prospect of it. The ball is now in Kevin Feige’s court.
Fans are excited about the possible development with the X Men Restart
If the current update is anything to go by, fans may end up getting all of the mutant team’s torchbearers, from Wolverine and Jean Gray to Cyclops and Rogue and even characters like Storm and Jubilee, the full package.
Fans are already rejoicing over Lesslie’s rumored rant about bringing the entire team to the next MCU version of X Men So maybe this is Kevin Feige’s cue to get on with whatever he may or may not do with the reboot.
Good start

I’m going to reiterate this a million times…
I don’t want 5 X-Men and their drama.
I want the whole damn team and show them WORKING TOGETHER. Whether using powers or not. It’s more fun when EVERYONE is there, each with their own ideas, funny speeches and comedy bits.— Knight Kashim (@KashimTenshi) June 22, 2024
WE WON

Given how big the 97 was, that would be the smart move.

If the MCU makes this a reality, it will right one of Fox’s many mistakes with the franchise, such as timeline errors and disappointing sidelining of important characters, to name a few. The ball is now in Feige’s court.
No cast, director, or release date has yet been attached to the project.
