Eagle-eyed social media users have spotted an apparent error in new merchandise promoted by Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett after an explosive House hearing where she came to blows with MAGA Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene.
In a post on X over the weekend, Crockett announced his new venture, selling merchandise that will include “random things I’ve said” in order to raise money for House Democrats.
“So we’re releasing ‘A Crockett Clapback Collection,'” Crockett wrote on X.
“This collection will feature several items that include random things I’ve said. The money will go towards ensuring we have a Democratic House! Give me some time to really get the loot online etc, but B6 will go down first. If you have stuff you want to see come to life, let me know. Post graphics or just quotes you want to see.”
The post included a photo of a man wearing a T-shirt bearing the Texas Democrat’s now-viral comment about Ms. Greene in the House of Representatives: “Bleached blonde, ill-formed tomboy body.”
But beneath the slogan is a phrase that is open to interpretation.
What should say “A round of applause from Crockett” seems to say: “A round of applause from Crockrtt.”
The potential flaw was exploited by social media users who mocked the Texas Democrat on X.
“Who is Crockrtt???” one user asked.

“Ask for a shirt and you’ll see,” Mrs. Crockett replied.
“I would start by spelling your last name correctly,” wrote swimmer and podcaster Riley Gaines.
Songwriter Five Times August wrote: “The shirt says ‘Crockrtt.’ She was so eager to get attention in exchange for money that she couldn’t even take the time to get her own name right. #proofread Why are people like this given power? Fucking beyond embarrassing. Shameful.”
The now-viral phrase came to life during a heated dispute between the Democrat and Ms. Greene at a House Oversight Committee hearing Thursday night.
The hearing had been called to decide whether US Attorney General Merrick Garland could be found guilty of contempt of Congress, following pressure from Republican lawmakers.
But the hearing took a sudden turn when Greene attacked Crockett for her “false eyelashes.”
“I would like to know if any Democrats on the committee are employing Judge (Juan) Merchan’s daughter,” Ms. Greene asked.
Judge Juan Merchan is currently presiding over the trial against Donald Trump for the silence of his followers in New York. The former president and other Republicans have repeatedly attacked both the judge and his daughter because of their previous work for Democrats.
“Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland,” Crockett, D-Texas, responded to Greene. “Do you know why we are here?”
Mrs. Greene responded: “I don’t think you know what you’re here for. “I think your false eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a progressive Democrat from New York, weighed in and criticized the MAGA lawmaker for her comments.
“How dare you attack another person’s physical appearance,” he said.
Ms. Greene then mocked AOC and asked her if she had hurt her feelings.
“Oh girl, oh girl, don’t even play,” Ms. Ocasio-Cortez responded.
When Speaker James Comer ruled that Greene’s comments did not violate House rules, Crockett responded with his own heated comment directed at the Republican congresswoman.
“If someone on this committee starts talking about a woman’s badly shaped, platinum-blond body, that wouldn’t be getting into a debate about personalities, right?” she asked the chairman.
Crockett later called Greene “absolutely” racist for her comments. “She is racist. I mean, I have no doubt about that,” he said.
Maxwell Frost, a fellow progressive representative, endorsed her.
“What we’re not going to do is demonize a black woman for standing her ground when an elected white supremacist comes to her appearance during a pre-event committee,” she wrote on X. “@JasmineForUS stood her ground.”
Meanwhile, Greene insisted she was “completely over it” in a Friday post on X.
“Forgive me if I don’t speak as well as some people would like to hear,” he wrote. “I’m not going to keep you all addicted to outrage and hopium that never solves a problem or stops the inevitable implosion of the United States of America.”
As the furor continued over the weekend, top House Democrat Jamie Raskin suggested alcohol consumption may have been involved.
“There were people drinking in the hearing room on the Republican side,” he said. The hill on Friday, without naming names. “There was a group of members who had skipped the legislative votes yesterday to go to Donald Trump’s trial… I don’t want to even imagine how much drinking there was on the train or in New York.”
This week, several Republicans traveled to New York to join Trump at his criminal trial in Manhattan Criminal Court, a move that appears to be some kind of audition stage to be chosen as his running mate.
On Thursday, Republicans Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Andy Biggs, Michael Cloud, Eli Crane, Matt Gaetz, Bob Good, Diana Harshbarger, Anna Paulina Luna, Ralph Norman and Andy Ogles flanked the former president in court.
No lawmakers directly involved in the Oversight Committee hearing incident, including Ms. Greene, attended the trial.
Mr. Gaetz said The Independent who did not travel with the group to New York and did not observe any alcohol consumption on Thursday.
Mr. Raskin called for an investigation into the possible involvement of alcohol in the events of the hearing.
“I didn’t see them drinking, but the lady from New Mexico, Melanie Stansbury, brought it up,” Raskin said. Fox News at the US Capitol on Friday. “He said ‘there are members drinking in the room,’ and that’s something worth investigating if there was actually drinking.”
Additional anonymous representatives of both parties said: Political They saw the members drinking.
