Tiffany Stratton says Jade Cargill’s Instagram post was an “honest mistake”

For the first time, Tiffany Stratton has addressed a since-deleted Instagram post that sparked backlash from her fans.

Stratton briefly shared a post on her Instagram stories in May that included a video of her forearming Jade Cargill during a match and knocking her off the apron. It also showed a close-up of Bianca Belair’s reaction to the forearm strike. Above the video, someone put an audio clip of a person saying “Black b*tch.” The video was reposted by Stratton but was not made by her. She included several laughing-while-crying emojis when sharing the post.

While speaking with Adrian Hernandez before Money in the Bank, Stratton was asked if the post was a situation where he didn’t listen to the audio and simply clicked repost without listening to it.

“Yes, it was an inadvertent mistake,” Stratton replied. “I didn’t listen to the audio, I had it on for about 20 seconds and I deleted it immediately as soon as I heard it. It was an inadvertent mistake.”

Stratton will be one of the participants in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this Saturday. IYO SKY, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi and Zoey Stark are also set to compete in the match.
