Cat owner leaves groceries unattended for a moment and quickly realizes her mistake

Social media users were left in stitches as a greedy cat couldn’t say no to the fresh food his owner had evidently left just for him.

After returning home from the store, the cat’s owner, Olesya Krishchuk, assumed the food would be perfectly safe in the kitchen as she put her daughter to bed for a nap. However, that was not the case, as she said Week of news that when he returned he found his cat, named Blue, “eating a steak on the floor.”

The naughty cat saw his chance and took it. He had decided to rummage through the unattended shopping bags and he wasn’t going to settle for the cans of cat food and the fresh vegetables; of course, he wanted the huge piece of raw meat.

“I just got home from shopping and left my groceries on the floor because I had to put my daughter down for a nap,” Krishchuk said. “When I came back, I saw that my cat had gone through the bag, chewed through the plastic wrapper on the steaks and pulled one out.”

Krishchuk couldn’t believe her cat’s antics, especially since she hadn’t even left the room for so long. Seeing “the worst” Blue could have done at that moment, Krishchuk took to TikTok to share her frustration.

The video, posted on June 20, shows the moment Krishchuk returns to the room to find Blue enjoying his feast. The clip has left everyone in hysterics — except Krishchuk, of course. In just a matter of days, it has already generated over 385,400 views and over 31,800 likes on TikTok.

Luckily, she knows how to see the funny side of things and eventually managed to get the piece of meat out of Blue’s paws. Needless to say, she didn’t feel like eating it for dinner after that.

“We set it aside for him and fed it to him over the next few days. We usually give him whatever meat or seafood we’re eating anyway, so he had a head start,” she said. Week of news.

After Blue’s greedy behavior went viral on TikTok, Krishchuk heard from many other cat owners sharing similar experiences. To her surprise, some even said they would have eaten the steak anyway, even though Blue had tried it before.

While the steak wasn’t intended for Blue, he certainly seemed to be enjoying it and social media users couldn’t be happier for him. The viral video racked up over 630 comments in just a few days as many people praised him for being so bold and cheeky.
