Minnie Driver opened up about her past relationships, including her ex-fiancé Josh Brolin.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times Posted on Saturday, July 6, the 54-year-old actress said she is happy that she and Brolin did not get married.
During his interview, he revealed that his father, Ronnie Driver, and his mother had never been married and that he had another wife and family.
She explained how her past shaped her perspective on a relationship: “If I look at my history, what it did was make me want to get married so badly and then choose men who weren’t the right men to marry.”
Minnie told the outlet: “So I would still long to get married and have that conservative version (of a relationship), I would find men who had no interest in that and then if any of them did, I would run away.”
While talking about her past lovers who “weren’t the right men to marry,” she brought up Brolin.
Referring to her 2001 engagement to Brolin, she said: “It would have been, I think, the biggest mistake of my life.”

Brolin later married Kathryn Boyd Brolin in 2016 and Minnie found her soulmate in writer and filmmaker Addison and O’Dea.
