Some of the funniest moments on the Internet can arise when someone tells a joke and the respondent reacts genuinely rather than participating in the joke. One TikTok user recently intentionally confused E-40 with Fat Joe and the rapper from Vallejo, California, is gone.
The TikToker was allegedly a comedian whose shtick involves deliberately confusing celebrities with other celebrities. He approached the 56-year-old rapper in what appeared to be a convention center and said, “I knew it was you, bro. Fat Joe! Fat Joe, bro! Aren’t you Fat Joe?”
The “Tell Me When To Go” artist was visibly confused and responded, “Who said that? Fat Joe? Yeah, I was with him.” The comedian asked if he was Fat Joe and 40 responded, “No. You calling me Fat Joe? You’re a comedian,” with the latter sentence being especially hilarious given the fact that he was actually a comedian. Nonetheless, E-40 continued his rant. “You know that’s childish, right? Come on, man. When were you born? In 2024? Get the hell out of here, man. That’s childish. Do your homework.” Watch below.

This prank was also a hilarious coincidence because E-40 and Fat Joe were recently together. They performed at Joe Biden’s campaign rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, in late June. CBS News A reporter was in the building and revealed that 40 performed “Tell Me When To Go” and his verse on “Snap Yo Fingers.” As for Joey Crack, he performed “Lean Back” and “All The Way Up.”
E-40 extended his legendary career with his November 2023 album Golden Rule: Rule 1The 23-track LP featured appearances by YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Gucci Mane, Larry June, Too $hort, Trae Tha Truth, and more. While the Mount Westmore artist continues to contribute to the game, he did express some concerns about the state of hip-hop in late 2023.
“I don’t like where it is,” he said. CBS Mornings last December. “Because I feel like there’s not enough creativity. They all sound the same. There are a lot of copycats. I’m not trying to act like I’m very positive. But I am because I’m a storyteller. I talk about things that sound like they’re not positive and the repercussions and consequences that can come from doing them. I’m a storyteller.”
