Samantha Ruth Prabhu admits to making mistakes in the past

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was a very popular name in the south, became pan-Indian after her amazing performance in the Hindi web series The Family Man. She also became an overnight sensation for her special song O Antana in Pushpa: The Rise. The southern diva, acclaimed for her beauty and fitness, recently addressed the importance of healthy eating on her podcast, Take20. As soon as the episode aired online, one internet user was quick to point out her endorsement of a beverage brand in the past. The person compared her recent talk about healthy eating to her previous endorsement of unhealthy foods.

This comment apparently affected Samantha greatly. She did not remain silent and agreed to endorse unhealthy food brands, saying that it was her mistake. The Khushi actress said, “I have made mistakes in the past when I didn’t know any better, but I have stopped accepting a lot of endorsements. I believe in practicing what I preach. Given how much I’ve learned, it’s hard now to stop seeing things I wasn’t aware of before. Whether it is my choice of food or brands, my entire ethos is now focused on healthy living.”

For the uninitiated, Samantha was diagnosed with myositis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the muscles. Last year she also took a 6 month break from work to focus on her health. She further mentioned, “While my choices may seem less than ideal to most, given that brands have a business impact on us, I am working to ensure that I align only with those brands that are equally committed to life and wellness. “I do my research and try to use the products myself before recommending them.”

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s most recent appearance was in the 2023 film Kushi, where she acted alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She will next be seen in the Amazon Prime series Citadel, also with Varun Dhawan. The Hindi version of the spy thriller is created by The Family Man creator Raj & DK.
